Travelling by taxis
When taking a taxi in Bulgaria be sure to use a licensed company and always check the rates before you start the journey. OK Supertrans are a licensed taxi with reasonable rates, usually 0.79 levs per km. Do be aware of other companies without advertised rates as there are many cases of taxi drivers charging higher than normal rates to foreigners. Also recommended are the apps such as Yellow Taxi.
Public transport and taking a bus to another city
Travelling across Bulgaria by bus is another great way to explore and enjoy the views on the way. There are public buses, trams and trains in Bulgaria however for a more comfortable and often faster journey check out one of the private bus operators who offer routes across the country at very reasonable prices.

Travelling by train
Travelling in Bulgaria by train is very easy – there is almost no destination you cannot reach this way. You should be aware though that trains are currently quite outdated. However, you can buy your tickets online and plan your trip wisely.

Rent a car in Bulgaria

Using the Metro in Sofia
