Restaurants
There are so many great places to eat in Bulgaria and the food is simply amazing! You are spoilt for choice with delicious meat, fish and salads. To truly experience Bulgarian cuisine, the traditional Shopska Salad has to be tried with a little Rakia to wash it down, just be careful though, Rakia is a very strong spirit! There’s also some very nice Bulgarian wines available in most restaurants so be sure to try those too.
In addition to the traditional food you will find fantastic pizza, sushi, kebabs, in fact, you’ll find everything!

Historic Places
Bulgaria is rich in history and tradition. Everywhere you go you will find an interesting building, monument or statue. Bulgarians old and young are very proud of their history and culture and once you’ve visited these spectacular places you will understand why.
Winter Sports
Did you know Bulgaria is one of the cheapest places in Europe to enjoy winter sports? There are 3 popular winter resorts for ski and snowboarding in Bulgaria, Bankso, Pamporovo and Borovets. If you’re staying in Sofia you can also head to Mount Vitosha.
It doesn’t matter if you are an expert or novice as there are great options for everyone. You can hire all the ski gear for under 15 Euros a day and private lessons are only around 20 Euros an hour, so what are you waiting for, book up and start packing your warm clothes!
Beach Resorts
Bulgaria also has some beautiful beaches and seaside resorts. The weather in the summer reaches temperatures in the 30′s with lots of sunshine so Bulgaria is a great place if you’re looking for a cheap European destination for your summer holidays! You may not have thought before about spending your summer in Bulgaria but once you’ve been we promise you’ll want to stay forever!
