Bansko Ball

The Bansko Ball 2016

We are always excited to share with you all the best events that are going on around Bulgaria. We may not make it to all of them, but we certainly try! One event that we would like to attend this year is The Bansko Ball.

One of the organisers, Ciara, contacted me to tell me about it and it’s a fantastic event being held for a wonderful cause.

The annual ball is held at the Lucky Bansko 5 Star Aparthotel and this year will be on the 18th December. The ball supports two charities, The Youth Cancer Trust and Sunflower Bansko.

The Youth Cancer Trust

“By donating to Youth Cancer Trust you’ll be helping young people with terminal cancer to get some respite from their illness and the isolation that they feel by providing a holiday to give them positive and happy experiences.”

For more information visit: http://www.youthcancertrust.org

Sunflower

“We’re keen to support local people, to see first hand the benefit of the money, what it buys and who it helps. Sunflower is focused on fundraising to provide support for elderly, disabled or disadvantaged individuals within the social care system in Bansko. To improve their living conditions, their social integration and employability and quality of life.”

For more information visit: https://www.facebook.com/SunflowerBansko

Tickets are 65BGN and this includes a 3 course buffet meal, wine, live music, dancing and the satisfaction of knowing you are supporting two worthy charities! And, there are some fantastic prizes to be won on the night. Raffle tickets can be bought in advance and you can buy them even if you can’t make it to the ball. A strip of 5 tickets costs 10BGN.

You can book your tickets directly through the website, and if you can’t make it to the ball but would like to support these charities you can also make a donation online. Also, give their Facebook page a like too.
