Sense Restaurant

This weekend was very special as my best friend from London was visiting me in Sofia for the first time.

She wanted to see as much of the city as possible and, of course, I wanted to take her to all of my favourite places! One of the treats I organised was a lovely day at Sense Hotel. We decided to have lunch at the Sense Restaurant followed by an afternoon relaxing in the spa.

You may have heard about the rooftop bar in Sense Hotel as it has the most amazing views of the city, but you may not know they also have a gorgeous restaurant and terrace on the ground floor of the hotel. The Sense Restaurant was our choice this weekend as you can walk up to the restaurant terrace directly from the spa. We decided to arrive early, get in a quick workout at the gym, head for lunch, then spend the afternoon lazing in the hot tub and pools. The spa pass costs 30 leva per person for a day and you can also pay extra for various massages and treatments.

You’ll probably find it difficult to choose something from the menu at Sense as everything sounds so good. I finally opted for the lamb chops with sauteed potatoes and spinach, while Cat chose a homemade burger. Both meals were absolutely delicious and I couldn’t think of a nicer place to spend catching up over good food and a glass of wine. The terrace at Sense Restaurant has a very peaceful atmosphere and it would be an equally perfect place for a business lunch. I also noticed that they serve breakfast (36 leva per person for a cooked breakfast). I haven’t tried that yet but I did order a cappuccino when we arrived and that was perfect!

Naturally we saved some space for dessert, and I’m glad we did! The chocolate souffle was amazing! We enjoyed our long and lazy lunch so much and after a couple of hours we headed back down to the spa where we continued with our relaxation! I could live like that every day!
