If you are in Sofia during the summer one of the must visit places is One More Cinema (One More Kino). If I say this is a wonderful bar that would be a shallow way to describe the place. One More Kino is the ultimate coffee shop / bar for any time after lunch. It is perfectly located in the corner of the National Palace of Culture (NDK as Bulgarians call it) and surrounded with trees so everything is green and fresh. The huge benefit is that you can be downtown and not have to listen to the mad traffic around you!
Furthermore, if you are a coffee lover this is one of the places in Sofia, where you can get the best latte (with a smiley face on it!). The other major advantage of One More Kino is the events and movie projections they organize. They host Jazz evenings quite often and there are movie projections in the evenings (around 7:30pm or 9:30pm) almost every summer evening. You can get information from their Facebook page (which is currently only in Bulgarian but we’ll ask them to add English too). Sometimes they charge entrance fees and sometimes they don’t, so before you head there make sure you know what’s happening.
Be also aware that there is no “inside”- the place is completely outdoors, so if you are visiting in the evening you might want to have a jacket with you. They also have no food, so you better not be hungry! If you follow those tips, I am confident you will enjoy it !
