At JJ Murphy’s you’ll find a great, relaxed atmosphere, Guinness and Magners being served and even the occasional pub quiz! There’s loads of TV screens all around and they show all of the most popular sporting events such as Premier League football, Six Nations Rugby, Superbowl and Gala Boxing.
If you’re not into sports though, don’t worry, there’s also live music and, if you just want a quiet afternoon drink it’s perfect for that also. It does get really busy at the weekend but during the day you can enjoy a nice quiet lunch and they have a lovely garden area which is perfect when it’s nice and warm.
J.J. Murphy’s are also well known for throwing parties for most of the special occasions throughout the year. Of course St. Patrick’s day is a must here but also they have great Halloween and New Year’s Eve Parties. For these parties you should call ahead and make a reservation if you’d like a table as they are very popular!
Now moving on to the food. I like to be reminded of home now and again and here I can have shepherds pie, fish and chips and even a proper Irish / English breakfast (which is served from when they open at 11am daily) and it’s all great!
I really hope you have the chance to have a nice lunch or dinner here and enjoy it with a pint of Guinness, I’m sure you’ll love it!
