Looking for a nice restaurant with a terrace? Look no more and go to Cine Citta! This Italian restaurant situated in Boyana district of Sofia has lots and lots of tasty food, nice waiters (unfortunately not all of them speak English – but there’s always at least one waiter who does), and a beautiful terrace with a bit of a mountain view. This is also the only restaurant that I have seen in Sofia so far, that has an aquarium with fresh oysters and lobsters.
The cuisine is Italian (pizzas and pasta), but they also have fish and good “skara”(grill) meat options. If you are worried about staying skinny for summer, or if you are just not that hungry – salads in Cine Citta are pretty interesting, and my personal favorite is “Insalata Pinolata” with arugula, pine nuts and mozzarella. If at the end of your meal you still feel like taking a desert, the waiters might suggest the “Selezioni dei dessert per due” – a selection of the restaurant’s desserts which I wouldn’t personally recommend, after having tried them myself. Sure, some were good, but overall – they did not impress me. So try some other dessert and let us know about it!
And, of course, if the weather is wonderful, and you want to enjoy the restaurant’s terrace – you should either come early (for lunch or dinner) or chose an easier option, and book a table!
