In Sofia you will find several shopping malls and due to the number of malls compared to the number of people they’re never too busy! Outside you will find many boutique style shops, particularly in the city centres. If you’re looking for a wedding dress you should visit Asenovgrad in Plovdiv as the entire town is dedicated to wedding dress shops!
If it’s fresh fruit and vegetables you’re looking for then check out one of the many markets in Bulgaria. You will find everything for a fraction of the price compared to the supermarkets, however keep an eye on what you’re given as sometimes the quality doesn’t match what’s on display.
